DATESBrain Champion Cup 2 starts on January 12th 2009 and will end on March 22nd.
SPOTS240 open spots, if more players sign up then additional spots (up to 480) will be opened or “reserved” match will be played. Final decision will be made after sign ups are closed.
FORMATThe Tournament will have 3 stages:

First Stage240(or 480) players, single elimination, while 15 top players (decided by admins) will be seeded and rest with random seed, taking around 5 weeks - January 12th to February 15th.

Second Stage15 qualified players from the First Stage + 1 player will be decided by poll (BCC2 fans will vote for player who deserves to advance to The Second Stage), double elimination, while 4 top players (decided by admins) will be seeded and rest with random seed, taking 3 weeks –February 16th to March 8th.

League Stage4 qualified players from the Second Stage (Winners Bracket) + winner of the Losers Bracket will need to play against each other, taking 2 weeks to complete all matches (ends on March 22th).
DEADLINESThe First Stage:All games of first round should be finished and uploaded by January 18th 23.59 GMT.
All games of second round should be finished and uploaded by January 25th 23.59 GMT.
All games of third round should be finished and uploaded by February 1st 23.59 GMT.
All games of fourth round should be finished and uploaded February 8th 23.59 GMT.
All games of fifth round should be finished and uploaded February 15th 23.59 GMT.
The Second Stage:For Winners Bracket all games of first round should be finished and uploaded by February 22nd and all games of second round should be finished and uploaded by March 1st.
For Losers Bracket all games of first and second round should be uploaded by March 1st and all games of third, fourth and fifth round should be finished and uploaded by March 8th.
The League Stage:All league games should be finished and uploaded by March 22nd .
ADMIN TIMESIn case people don't get into a scheduling agreement there are admin times:
The First Stage:First round admin time is on January 17th at 15.00 GMT.
Second round admin time is on January 24th at 15.00 GMT.
Third round admin time is on January 31st at 15.00 GMT.
Fourth round admin time is on February 7th at 15.00 GMT.
Fifth round admin time is on February 14th at 15.00 GMT.
The Second Stage:For Winners Bracket admin time of first round is on February 21th at 15.00 GMT and second round admin time is on February 28th at 15.00 GMT.
For Losers Bracket admin time of first and second rounds is on February 28th at 15.00 GMT. Third, fourth and fifth rounds admin time is on March 7th at 15.00 GMT.
The League Stage:In case there are problems with scheduling, the admin time for the players to meet are March 14th, March 15th, March 21st and March 22nd at 15.00 GMT. (Admins should be informed in case of problems in scheduling to decide if the fixed time will be on Saturday or Sunday). Player should have at least one match played by March 15th at 23.59 GMT.
Once two players confirmed a time to play, the maximum waiting time is 30 minutes. More than that, the player that was online waiting should take a screenshot of
http://www.worldtimeserver.com, a screenshot of the Hosting Room and post them in special forum.

MAPS and SETTINGSIn all games except Double Arabia, Fortress Regicide and Arena both player must use same civ, more specific information below.
To reduce the factor of luck, in all games if a player wants to restart before the 5th minute of the game, the map can be restarted.
This restart can be made one time per one game. (This means that another player can't call for restart in restarted game).
On Arena sheep or boar stealing is not allowed.
All other settings are standard.
In the First Stage the match must be played in BO3 format and in following order:
Arabia (both players civ are Mongols)
Home map (loser of Arabia chooses both map and civ)
Home map (winner of Arabia chooses both map and civ, but cant choose same map of 2nd game.)
In the Second Stage the match must be played in BO5 format and in following order:
Arabia (both players civ are Byzantine )
Home map (loser of Arabia chooses both map and civ)
Home map (winner of Arabia chooses both map and civ, but cant choose same map of 2nd game.)
Ultra random (player who is losing after first 3 maps chooses civ)
Double Arabia (all civs are allowed and civs can be different).
In the League Stage all 7 maps must be played and in following order:
Arabia (both players civ are Huns).
Home map (loser of Arabia chooses both map and civ)
Home map (winner of Arabia chooses both map and civ, but cant choose same map of 2nd game.)
Arena (random civs, reveal map:
all visible)
Arena (same civs as previous Arena map, but players switch civs, reveal map:
all visible)
Team islands (player who is losing after first 5 maps chooses civ)
Double Arabia (all civs are allowed and civs can be different).
After all matches of the League Stage are played, placements will be decided this way:
1st priority: number of matches won (each won match gives one point)
2nd priority: head to head result (if 2 players have same amount of points)
3rd priority: numbers of games (maps) won (each won game gives one point).
HOME MAPS LISTPlayers can choose home map (and civ) from the following list:
Arabia (Aztecs, Celts, Byzantine, Mayans, Huns, Mongols, Chinese, Teutons)
Ultra Random v4 (Vikings, Persians, Mayans, Mongols)
Regicide Fortress (all civs are allowed and civs can be different)
Scandinavia, Baltic, Mediterranean, Mongolia, Highland, Rivers, Team Islands (Britons, Byzantine, Persians, Mayans, Mongols, Vikings)
Players can choose both map and civ, but it can't be chosen when both map and civ set is already fixed map.

ADDITIONAL RULES#1. Cheating is PROHIBITED. Players using any kind of cheating or not following the rules will be disqualified and banned from all Legion Clan tournaments;
#2. Each person can play in the tournament using only ONE nickname. If a player is caught using more than 1 nickname in the tournament, he will be disqualified and banned from all Legion Clan tournaments;
#3. In case of disconnections, the game must be restored right after the drop. If restoring is not possible, the tourney admins (L_Clan_Finch / L_Clan_Derptus) should be informed and a final decision will be taken after all the facts are checked/cleared by the tournament admins;
#4. All the recorded games must be posted right after the match played by the winner, in the correct Forum. The files MUST be renamed in the following format before they are posted:
BCC2-Stage-Player A vs Player B-Map.mgx. The recorded games must be posted separately in one topic (do NOT post all the games compressed into a single file). The restarted game also must be renamed and posted in following format : BCC2-Stage-Player A vs Player B-Map(reset game).mgx .
#5. In case of restored games, a screenshot proving that the game was finished must be posted instead of the recorded game.
#6. If a game is not recorded, then it must be replayed (this doesn't apply to dropped games, where the recorded game isn't available after the game restore);
#7. Rules and settings can be added/modified at any time, and the Legion admins will inform about any change here in Legion forums;
#8. Patch C must be used in all matches;
#9. In all Regicide Fortress games use of water is not allowed.
#10. All the games must be played on IGZ (
http://www.igzones.com);
#11. Prizes will be sent ONLY by Paypal (
http://www.paypal.com), and sending fees and other taxes might be discounted from the full prize;
#12. By signing-up in the tournament, you agree with all the tournament rules, settings and conditions.
